Ringu - The Ring - is one of the most iconic horror films of all time. The American version "The Ring" became known worldwide, but the original Japanese masterpiece is even more hair-raising and chilling. Although it was not the most widely distributed upon its release, "Ringu" has become a cult classic that has come back into fashion among horror fans.

In 1998, director Hideo Nakata (Dark Water) unleashed a chilling tale of technological terror on unsuspecting audiences that redefined the horror genre, launched the J-horror boom in the West, and introduced a generation of moviegoers to a creepy, dark-haired girl named Sadako.
