Fenar Ahmad's live-action remake of the iconic cartoon
When the cartoon Valhalla was released in 1986, it was an instant hit. The interplay between artist and director Peter Madsen's brilliant pen, Ron Goodwin's grand, symphonic music and excellent sound and voice work made the tale of the Norse gods a beloved classic.
Valhalla was passed on to the next generation of eager parents who had laughed and cried in the 80s themselves, and it should come as no surprise that the majority of teenage children (age limit is eleven) who go to see Fenar Ahmad's live-action version have already seen the cartoon.
